  • Dru-Zod was a Silver Age character. He is portrayed as a megalomaniacal Kryptonian, in charge of the military forces on Krypton. He had known Jor-El, Superman's father, when he was an aspiring scientist. When the space program was abolished after the destruction of the inhabited moon Wegthor, which had been caused by renegade scientist Jax-Ur, he attempted to take over Krypton. Zod created an army of robotic duplicates of himself, all bearing a resemblance to Bizarro. He was sentenced to exile in the Phantom Zone for his crimes. Zod was eventually released by Superboy when his term of imprisonment was up. However, he attempted to conquer Earth with the super powers gained under the yellow Sun. Zod was sent back into the Phantom Zone, from which he occasionally escapes to target Superman.

  • He appeared in front of a panel at the 2011 UCon @ UConn where he announced his candidacy for President of the United States. He returns in the 4th Year Anniversary film To Boldly Flee as one of the films main villains making his introduction at the end of part 2 having been sent by The Executor as Terl's new master and to keep him on schedule. He arrives through a door with smoke and a bright light behind him and commands Terl to kneel but Terl is confused commenting he must be foreign and that "Neil" is his name and that the way he points his finger down to kneel is his way of saying "Hello". In part 3 he commands Terl to transform the ship into a house to match the Critic which Terl believes is stupid but he does so anyway with the help of a simple "George Lucas-style wipe" as Zod puts
  • In "Lethal Weapons", Zod and his gang, Ursa and Non, were seen in The Drunken Clam when Peter was getting Lois to fight off all the New Yorkers that were taking over Quahog. Often Peter started a fight by saying that their favorite sports teams sucked, and when he said "Krypton sucks", Zod and his gang attacked Peter. Lois threw all three of them into the Phantom Zone, and they drifted off into space like the first Superman movie.
  • General Zod, or (as his parents named him) Rufus T. Zodsky (for which he never forgave them) was a totally evil, cool, awesome and British Kryptonian supervillain from the planet Krypton in the Krypton system who inexplicably looked like Terence Stamp. Born during an earthquake started by a certain guy who's name begins with "S"'s father, the gravitational flux ended up squishing the future Zod and leaving him permanently at the height of three-feet-three inches. This gave him a bizarre psychological obsession to force people to bow down before him so that he could see them eye-to-eye, which produced quite a god complex in the little man. Imprisoned for attempting to overthrow the inept Kryptonian hippy council, Zod (with comic sidekicks Ursa and Non) was banished into the Phantom Zone, wh
  • Zod was a ruthless, arrogant and megalomaniacal criminal - sentenced to the Phantom Zone (along with his followers Non and Ursa) due to their crimes of insurrection and murder. The trio remain in the phantom zone until Superman - foiling the plot of terrorists who were planning to blow up Paris with a hydrogen bomb - launches the bomb into space to explode harmlessly. However, the shock waves of the bomb's explosion shatters the Phantom Zone and allows the three criminals to escape, with them soon gaining powers like Superman thanks to exposure from Earth's sun.
