  • [[Datei:1139490-lavareefdeathegg_super.jpg|thumb|Das abgestürtzte Death Egg in Sonic & Knuckles bzw.
"Death Egg Saga".
  • The whole plot of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles is driven by Sonic and Tails' efforts to destroy the original version of this space station and preventing the mad scientist from using the Chaos Emeralds to power it. Robotnik's greatest work is, however, robust stuff - over the course of those three games, the Death Egg survives a fall from space and a failed launch, and still makes it back into orbit eventually. Although the original battle station is destroyed during Sonic & Knuckles' Death Egg Zone, Dr. Robotnik has created new iterations of the facility in later games.
  • The Death Egg refers to a massive battleship built by Dr. Eggman in his bids to conquer the world. Several versions of the craft have existed, with the current one serving as Eggman's mobile base.
  • The Death Egg is a massive orbital fortress, constructed by the all-around mad scientist Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. It is the first and most famous of Eggman's space stations. It is a massive spherical space station and iconically resembles the face of Doctor Eggman, with concave eye-sockets and a mustache rendered in kilometers of vacuum-hardened plasma-steel. Hosting some of the Doctor's most deadly creations of all time, this vast stronghold serves as the scientist's final base in the early Sega Genesis-era Sonic the Hedgehog games. It is also sometimes known as the "Death Egg Zone".
  • The first Death Egg was only seen in Sonic the Comic Issue 6. Its origins are exactly as they are in the video game Sonic the Hedgehog 2, though its end is not. Believed to have been destroyed some time ago, the satellite had in fact survived, but was heavily damaged and its orbit had decayed. It was set to crash into the Emerald Hill Zone until Sonic and Tails took a shuttle from the Wing Fortress and boarded the falling satellite, hoping to destroy it before impact. Death Egg I was still guarded by Silver Sonic, Robotnik's first Sonic robot. It attacked Sonic but fared no better than it had before; Sonic managed to kick its head off. Silver Sonic had managed to delay the two heroes long enough for the satellite to enter Mobius's atmosphere, forcing Sonic to try and steer the falling stat
  • Once morning, Dr. Robotnik got out of bed, and decided he and his father were too big of losers to beat Sonic on their own. They sent ten thousand robots to track down Dr. Eggman. Dr. Eggman thought this was an attack, so he sent his own soldiers. They fought for three weeks before they realized it was all a mistake. Dr. Robotnik rebuilt the Death Egg, and claims that it's all his, not Dr. Eggman's.
