Allen Kelsey Grammer (born February 21, 1955) is the current senior United States Senator for Florida and the incumbent Senate Majority Leader, having assumed that post following the Nationalist midterm victories in 2010. Regarded as one of the more conservative members of his party and of the Senate, Grammer was considered as one of the most likely potential running mates for Brian Williams in the 2012 election, but was passed over for Alex Gomez. He gave the address at the 2012 National Party Convention in Salt Lake City introducing the vice presidential nominee. He briefly ran for President in the 2008 Nationalist primaries, but dropped out in mid-January after poor performances in the primaries.
