Selma Ottilia Lovisa Lagerlöf was a Swedish author and the first female to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. One of her most famous works was a children's literature piece called Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige (The Wonderful Adventures of Nils), in which a boy, Nils, is magically shrunk and rides a goose on a tour over the different provinces of Sweden. Indiana Jones and his family may have visited Stockholm in December 1909, and attended the Nobel Prize ceremony honoring Selma Lagerlöf.

Indiana Jones and his family may have visited Stockholm in December 1909, and attended the Nobel Prize ceremony honoring Selma Lagerlöf. While in Istanbul in 1918, Indiana Jones used the cover identity of a Swedish reporter named Nils Anderson, perhaps in a reference to his encounter of Selma Lagerlöf.
