To raise your unarmed damage you must level up the three primary weaponry skills, them being Slashing Crushing and Piercing, although these are the confirmed skills to influence unarmed this may have changed as it's been said you must master all weapon styles so there is potentially the need for whips staves petmanship and archery. In addition to the previous skills your level plays a major role and your damage. Unarmed combat is unique in that it is seldomly used and is the only attack type that lets you swing 4 times per it's weapon delay. This lends well to getting things that have proc chances or on hit affects as you get 4 times the value out of them. another thing that makes them unique is the ability to use potions of stone and angelic aura with out compromising your damage out put as these reduce weapon damage and your fists are not weapons. Potential Builds Shield Ninja. 140 melee (All str) 140 Defense(4/1/1 agi/cnt/dur) 59 magic(all cnc) 1 Recovery Classes WM/Warrior Equipment focus all enchants in to strength, get gear that focuses on crit and attack speed. Shield Monk 140 Defense (even) 140 melee(even(str/dex)) 1 magic 59 recovery(reg) classes Tactician Guardian Equipment focus enchantments equally in to agi and cnt the higher the better. and gear that focus on mitigation. you're goal is to let the damage increases in pvp combat carry you while you tank away and heal.
