Bloc Party is a London-Cuban based political organization, and aimed at garnering government sponsorship for apathy and sulkiness amongst the really ridiculously good looking, Camden-based middle class young people. - Bloc Party got their break by giving BBC Radio One DJ Steve Lamacq and Franz Ferdinand's lead singer, Alex Kapranos, a copy of their demo "She's Hearing Voices". Peel himself then got hold of their material from Steve Lamacq and liked them so much, that he invited them for a session, which sadly he was not alive to see or hear.
