The 2012 Philadelphia Eagles season was the franchise’s eightieth season in the National Football league, as well as the tenth playing their home games at Lincoln Financial Field. The team failed to improve on their 8–8 record from 2011, and suffered their worst season since 1998 when they won only three games. On December 31, 2012, Andy Reid was fired after 14 seasons as the Eagles' head coach. Also, for the fourth consecutive season, the team the Eagles played in their home opener advanced to the Super Bowl. __TOC__
