  • Potions of invisibility are potions that, when drunk, temporarily make the player invisible. If they are cursed, however, they make everything invisible for the player - he becomes blind for a period of time. Note that the potion can be thrown at monsters for the same effect — non-cursed potions making them invisible, cursed ones blinding them. Non-immune monsters will never resist the effects of a cursed potion of invisibility. If a monster has one in its possession (picked up from the floor), it can decide to drink it to become invisible.
  • When a player drinks this potion, they will get the Invisibility effect. Mobs cannot see them unless their hitbox is touched. This renders the player completely invisible, unless they are wearing something. The distance from which mobs can see them starts at 1 and increases by 3 blocks for each piece of armor worn. When a full suit of armor is worn, mobs can see a player from 10 blocks away, compared to the standard 16.
  • The Apothecary Gnome sold them for 100 Gold Coins each.
  • Renders the Hero invisible for 120 seconds when used. An invisible Hero is untargetable by the enemy unless detected. If the Hero attacks, uses an ability, or casts a spell the invisibility effect is lost.
  • The Potion of Invisibility is a versatilepotion. Its class name in save files is "com.watabou.pixeldungeon.items.potions.". __TOC__ __NOEDITSECTION__
  • Potions of Invisibility make the consumer invisible, but not undetectable for the other senses. The effect is the same as the second level wizard spell by the name of Invisibility. Actions related to combat will make the consumer visible once again. If these activities can be avoided, the effect will last 12 hours in-game time. This potion appears in Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate EE and Baldur's Gate II. In the game of Baldur's Gate, this potion is for sale at Sorcerous Sundries. Here is a list of combat activities and other activities which terminate the effect of the potion:

Tips
  • * If not within an enemy's field-of-view, reading a scroll, or zapping a wand, will not prematurely end the Invisible buff. * As one of the dungeon's "forced items", the Potion of Invisibility is primarily used for safely bypassing the Giant Piranha, which guard an item in a Flooded Vault. * Potions of Invisibility can be used to retreat from standard/rare/special enemies, or regroup from a boss. * This is an essential combat item for the Sniper sub-class, especially for most Boss Battles.

Desirability
  • Invisibility can be very helpful in many places where hordes of monsters have to be fought without a bottleneck nearby, or if you need to dive into the fray in order to seek out a particular enemy. Invisibility is, however, also available from rings of invisibility, robes of invisibility or cloaks of invisibility or the Invisibility spell. Since blindness is such a powerful effect on enemy monsters and potions of blindness can be somewhat rare, cursed potions of invisibility can be considered more useful than their non-cursed counterparts.

Special
  • Makes user invisible.
Drink
  • Invisibility wouldn't be lost by throwing missile weapons , or potions, at enemies, until Invisible's full duration ends.
  • thumb|190px|right|Drinking a potion of Invisibility The Invisible buff is applied to the Hero/ine for a duration of turns, enabling him/her to not be seen, and thus attacked, by enemies. If an enemy is struck, or a wand/scroll is used in an enemy's field-of-view, the invisibility ends, and the Hero/ine will be detectable again.
