Lucille grew up in Coronation Street, and at the time she was the only child who lived there. As she got older, she tried her hand in a variety of jobs but remained unsure what she wanted to do with her life, especially after Harry was killed in 1967. She was engaged to be married to Gordon Clegg in 1969 but Gordon jilted her. After a string of bad relationships Lucille moved to Ireland in 1974.
