- Found by Boris in an antique store, the Shazam machine would happily read the future in exchange for just a few Clintz. Cheap and to the point, his predictions more than satisfied his customers. But for some time now, Shazam's séances always seem to take a grisly turn. As a result, the master of ceremonies is beginning to wonder if perhaps Mira isn't somehow involved, given that she didn't take very kindly to the machine making off with her clientele.
- Shazam is the alter ego of William "Billy" Batson is an immature and petulant teenage boy who lives with a foster family in the suburbs outside Metropolis. SHAZAM's power is contracted through the powers of various deities such as Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury. Transformation: By saying "Shazam", Ryan can transform into a perfect version of himself with magical powers. He can fly, generate electricity, crush cars and deflect bullets off his skin. He has no inherent control of these abilities and must learn to use them.
- Dressed in a black coat and hat a mysterious shadowy figures beckons Billy Batson to "follow him" into the subway.In the subway they take a magic train to a cave where the shadowy figure leads Batson to an old man sitting on a marble throne.The old man reveals that he is the ancient wizard Shazam who has been using his powers for 3000 years to fight the forces of evil. Now old he chooses Billy to be the successor of his power, to be Captain Marvel. Billy who with but a utterance of the wizards name "SHAZAM!" can transform into Captain Marvel. With his deed done Shazam sits back in his throne and is killed by a giant granite block falling on him that was suspended overhead by a slender thread.
