In 1950-51 he played for the Sherbrooke Saints and the Quebec Aces of the Quebec Senior Hockey League. He finished off his career in 1951-52 after playing for the senior St Laurent Castors. In the NHL, Gauthier played 229 games and scored 46 goals and 50 assists.
