  • In Super Mario 64 DS, Luigi can take on the abilities the Vanish Cap grants, but instead he uses a Power Flower to do so.
  • By putting on this cap, Mario, as Vanish Mario, becomes transparent and can walk though metal bars and just about all enemies.
  • In the DS version, when Luigi gets a power flower, he turns invisible in a similar fashion though there's no switch necessary. There's also few differences; Vanish Mario can walk through ice, but Vanish Luigi can't. Luigi can move horizontally and vertically, while Mario only moves horizontally.
