"Funny Face" is the title song of the 1927 Broadway musical, with songs by George and Ira Gershwin and starring Fred Astaire. It was used for the 1957 film of the same name starring Astaire and Audrey Hepburn, but with little relation to the source show. In an early Sesame Street film segment, Joe Raposo sang the tune (in which a crooner declares their affection for the funny face) over footage of primates in a zoo. It retains one lyrical alteration from the 1957 film (substituting "Mona Lisa" for the by-then more obscure "Gloria Swanson" as a comparison point of beauty).
