- Thanos was a planet located in the Togoria system of the Taldot sector. During the Imperial Period, it contained an Imperial shipyard that was kept under tight control. The shipyard produced exclusively Imperial-class Star Destroyers. By 4 ABY, Thanos had become an Imperial fortress world. After the Battle of Endor, the planet and its shipyard fell under control of High Admiral Treuten Teradoc's Greater Maldrood. Thanos was eventually captured by the New Republic in 8 ABY.
- Thanos is a supervillain from Marvel Comics. He debuts in a brief appearance during the closing credits of the 2012 Marvel action film The Avengers and in the 2015 Marvel film Avengers: Age of Ultron and is formally introduced as a long–term background villain in Guardians of the Galaxy. - A worshiper of Death, Thanos was born on the Titan, a moon of Saturn. Thanos looked different from his fellow Titans (beause he was, in fact, half Skrull) and became a bitter outsider. He augmented himself through use of bionics and mysticism, and brought a nuclear storm upon his people. He tries multiple times to conquer the galaxy, but is never completely succesful. He once found the Infinity Gauntlet, one of the most powerful items in the Marvel Universe and attepmted to use it to takeover, but was defeated. His suit apparently self-destructed, but in reality, he was teleported away. He recently made a re-appearence in the Annihilation story-arch where he allied with the villian Annihilus. However, he turned on Annihilus and tried to kill him, but was first killed by Drax the Destroyer.
