When the Fisk's criminal empire was threatened by a mysterious vigilante, Yoshioka took it upon himself to find and kill the man. During his battle with the masked man, Yoshioka was nearly victorious, before he was outwitted and killed. Yoshioka, however, was resurrected a few months later, and he attacked New York City with his loyal Hand followers. With them, Yoshioka attempted to convince Elektra to join the Hand and embrace her destiny as the Black Sky. When that failed, Yoshioka attempted to kill Elektra's ally, Daredevil, but Elektra sacrificed herself to Daredevil and she was killed instead by Yoshioka's sword. During his final battle, Yoshioka was ultimately defeated by Daredevil and killed by Stick, who decapitated Yoshioka.
