- Dark wizards are the ultimate neutral counterparts of the Archmage in Warcraft 3. They have the Brilliance Aura and can cast Raise Skeleton and Polymorph. Many were cast out by the Kirin Tor and hold a bitter dislike for other wizards. These talent mages liked to form groups of like-minded individuals, and lordded over others with their superiority in magic and strength.
- They play a small role in the Demon Slayer quest. When it was more common to see macroers south of Draynor Village, it was possible to lure the dark wizards there to them, making the bot run away, or even be killed (there are no longer dark wizards present south of Draynor Village, ever since the "Advisors and Objectives" update). Lord Voldemort was also an infamous Dark Wizard, though his notoriety was for the most part restricted to Britain, although he was well-known and feared across Europe during the 90's despite only being powerful in Britain.

- Some men strive for physical perfection. Others would rather bend the laws of nature to benefit their cause. The Dark Wizard can command the elements to smite his foes. He can also call upon the spirits to aid him. Most people are wary of the powers of the Dark Wizard and usually leave them alone. However, others make the mistake of thinking them an easy target due to their weak stature. But do not be deceived! Many warriors have suddenly been engulfed in flames before even reaching a Dark Wizard.
- Dark Wizard (DW según la jerga) es el personaje dedicado a la magia y uno de los más utilizados de Mu online, recibe el nombre de mago, aprende sus hechizos a traves de libros llamados "Scrolls", los cuales son potenciados con su arma caracteristica comunmente llamada "Staff", su especialidad es el ataque a distancia, sus poderes requieren energía, por lo que este personaje tiene que distribuir sus puntos en mayor medida a energía (para incrementar su ataque) y agilidad (para obtener mas defensa). Vitalidad y fuerza son "Stats" secundarios, ya que este personaje no destaca en estas areas, se recominda agregar en fuerza solo lo suficinte para usar sus armaduras.
