The Sivad-Consortium War was fought between the Orion Arm Treaty Organization and the Solar Consortium. A major battle over Ganymede took place in 3003, in which Maltarian and Sivadian ships opposed the Consortium fleet led by alternate-universe Colin Neidermeyer. There was also a major land engagement between the Guardian Fleet and RNS Marine Corps on Titan, which was a victory for the Guardian Fleet. The war was ended by the Treaty of Sol Station in which Callisto and the rest of the Sol system was ceded to the Consortium, and Deserata was ceded to Sivad.

The Sivadians, however, outnumbered the Consortium ships and struck back viciously. The Maltarian fleet cut and ran midway through the engagement, activating massive explosives on Ganymede which destroyed the moon as well as substantial portions of both the allied Sivadian and the Consortium fleets. The Maltarians destroyed the jump ring to their star system after they had left. It is seen as a victory on both sides, although it helped turn public opinion in the Orion Arm against the Maltarian Empire. Both sides found their fleet and personnel casualties extremely high, and it would be several years before they would be back to any kind of pre-War level. Subsequent to the war, the Maltarians withdrew all representation and ships from dealings with the Arm. Their seat in OATO remains vacant to this day.
