- A Shrink Ray is a type of sci-fi weapon, often used by evil or eccentric characters to either cause chaos or as experiments that go wrong : the concept of a Shrink Ray is a very long and enduring one that has spawned countless works of fiction. The Shrink Ray as we know it in media is almost impossible to actually make in the real world but nevertheless continues to show up in many sci-fi settings as a tool for both good and evil : often it can be found in the hands of mad scientists, super-villains or alien invaders.
- During the final battle against Otto Destruct, Otto was able to get the device from Ratchet and use it himself (since it was originally his), changing his size during the fight and even using it to shrink Qwark.
