Thoradin was the leader of the Arathi tribe of humans. He led them to unify the various human tribes into the great nation of Arathor, founded the capital of Strom, and forged an alliance with the high elves in the Troll Wars. A defensive wall between Arathi Highlands and Hillsbrad has been either named in his memory or built by himself or one of his descendants bearing his name.

- Krasnoludzkie królestwo Thoradinu niegdyś było jednym z najpotężniejszych państw tej rasy. Niemniej podbito je i nazwano Zhakar. Przez stulecia rządziły nim czarne krasnoludy, aż w Wieku Śmiertelników odzyskali je Hylarowie i ich pobratymcy. Teraz Thoradin stara się odbudować dawne znaczenie jako potężny naród krasnoludzki - znów pod dawną nazwą.
- Thoradin était un humain qui vécut aux alentour de 2800 ans avant l'ouverture de la Porte des Ténèbres qui fut dans un premier temps seigneur de guerre de la tribu Arathi. Initialement connu pour ses escarmouches face aux trolls Amani, il unifia l'humanité sous la bannière du royaume d'Arathor, devint l'un des acteurs majeurs des Guerres trolles qu'il remporta aux côté des hauts-elfes, fit prospérer son royaume pendant des années et finit par abdiquer avant de mourir des suites d'une blessure provoquée par un combat l'opposant à Zakazj le Corrupteur, un puissant C'Thraxxi qu'il parvint néanmoins à vaincre.
