The Montreal-Ottawa Corridor is a heavily populated region in both Ontario and Quebec. It is an east-west corridor with the eastern end being Montreal and the western end being Ottawa. It is a sub-region of the Quebec City-Windsor Corridor. The term was coined recently to describe the way that the two cities seem to be getting "closer" as the rural gap between the two cities slowly starts to close up due to Ottawa and Montreal expanding suburbs in the direction of each other.
