  • He played junior hockey for the St Catharines TeePees and the Guelph Royals from 1958 to 1962, winning the Memorial Cup with the TeePees in 1960. Harris turned pro with the St. Louis Braves in 1962-63 and played there for two seasons. After the Detroit Red Wings picked him up in 1964, he played three seasons with their farm team, the Pittsburgh Hornets. Early in the 1967-68 season, Detroit traded Harris to the expansion Minnesota North Stars, where he finally made his NHL debut. He played in 22 games and scored a goal and four assists. Later that season he played four more games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, scoring no more points. That was the extent of his NHL experience. He played in the minors for the Vancouver Canucks and the Rochester Americans unril 1972, when he jumped to the Houston Aeros of the World Hockey Association. In 1972-73 Harris enjoyed one of his best seasons, scoring 30 goals for the Aeros. At the end of that seasons he was traded to the Chicago Cougars where he played until his retirement in 1975. In the NHL, Harris played in 26 games and scored a goal and 4 assists. In the WHA he played in 193 games and scored 53 goals and 47 assists.
