William Edward Ratleff (born March 29, 1950 in Bellefontaine, Ohio) is a retired American Basketball player. A 6'6" Guard (basketball)/Forward (basketball) from California State University, Long Beach, Ratleff played for the American at the 1972 Summer Olympics, where the United States lost a Basketball to the Soviet Union. Ratleff and his teammates earned silver medals, which they refused to accept. Throughout the Olympic tournament, Ratleff averaged 6.4 Points per game. Ratleff played high school basketball with Dwight "Bo" Lamar of Southwestern Louisiana at Columbus East.
