Dan Anderson (born January 25, 1954, Chicago, Illinois) is an American voice actor and free lance writer who is well known for having played the voice of Dad Asparagus in VeggieTales for Big Idea Productions. In 2002 he played appeared on Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie. He has voiced Dad Asparagus in many Veggietales videos since 1993 beginning with Where's God When I'm S-Scared?. The last time he played the voice of Dad Asparagus was in 2005 on Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Samson's Hairbrush. He also provided the voice for the Professor in God Wants Me to Forgive Them!?!.

He also provided the voice for the Professor in God Wants Me to Forgive Them!?!. Dan Anderson first became involved with Veggietales in 1993 while living on the North side of Chicago. Veggietales creator Phil Vischer asked him to be the voice of Dad Asparagus. They had met each other a few years earlier at their church, Park Community Church, in Chicago. Dan had become well known at Park for his writing and performing in comical skits at the church. Dan Anderson is self employed and works as a free lance writer. He writes scripts, speeches, and other literature for companies to use for videos, trade shows, conferences, and other promotional activities. He is married to Nancy Conn Anderson since March 8, 1980 and they have three children. They currently live in Gurnee, Illinois.
