Chief Petty Officer Connor-161 was a SPARTAN-II Class-II supersoldier who served in the Human-Covenant War. During the war, he was assigned as the leader of Azure Team, a three man team consisting of Jacob-184 and Elijah-243. Having fought in many battles during the latter half of the war, he was eventually recruited by the Office of Naval Intelligence to test the recently developed MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Hayabusa, using it with brutal efficiency during the Battle of Earth, fighting Covenant forces in several of Earth's major cities. During the later half of the battle, he was separated from his unit when the Flood crash landed on the planet. During the war, he was assigned as the leader of Azure Team, a three man team consisting of Jacob-184 and Elijah-243. Having fought in many battles during the latter half of the war, he was eventually recruited by the Office of Naval Intelligence to test the recently developed MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Hayabusa, using it with brutal efficiency during the Battle of Earth, fighting Covenant forces in several of Earth's major cities. During the later half of the battle, he was separated from his unit when the Flood crash landed on the planet. After the infestation was contained, Connor was one of several Spartans who volunteered to travel aboard the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn and its journey to the Forerunner installation known as the Ark, where he participated in some of the final battles of the war. After the war, he and Azure Team were assigned to the UNSC Frontier Command, helping to secure abandoned and glassed colony worlds from rebels and Covenant remnant groups alike. Shortly after the Created Crisis began in October, 2558, Connor and Azure were recruited by veteran SPARTAN-IIs Colin-142 and Bailey-132 in the Office of Naval Intelligence's newly formed Operational Detachment-Sigma to help stop the rampant AIs and their Forerunner constructs.
