| - At the time, Doriana was in charge of transporting an experimental prototype—the concept of which led to the World Devastators—along with a collection of Jedi relics to the Emperor's private storehouse on Wayland, up until he was diverted to Zeru Neiomoidia upon learning that Taskien had infiltrated the resistance and was poised to bring them down. Knowing Taskien's penchant for reckless behavior, he brought along Jana Rothery, a skilled physician. On Zeru Neimoidia, Doriana was able to stop the insurgent leader, Ardo Romierr, from fleeing his mountain fortress as it was overrun by Imperial troops, resulting in Romierr's capture. Landing inside the mountain, Doriana was greeted by a clone trooper commander, CC-3433, or Trip, the senior military officer. Doriana told Trip that he had done well, and arranged for Rothery to treat Taskien, who had been captured and tortured. Taskien's theory was confirmed when they learned that Imperial troops had recovered over hundreds of highly experienced and skilled Xi Charrian technicians and engineers, along with a complete set of Separatist data cores. Doriana immediately took charge of them, and ordered that both the Xi Charrians and data cores be loaded onto his ship, the Griffin. His intentions were to make a detour past Despayre, in the Outer Rim, and add the Xi Charrians to the work force laboring on the Death Star, which would have greatly assisted the project and brought Doriana considerable prestige. He also ordered Trip and his detail to accompany him for added security, as Doriana intended to leave the trooper and his men at the Death Star with a strong recommendation for promotion as a reward for his service to the Empire. Doriana also brought Taskien along so she could recover, intending to commend her highly for her service. However, things went horribly awry. Members of Romierr's organization had deeply infiltrated Imperial ranks up to Doriana's personal aide, and arranged for many of their number to be onboard the Griffin. At a commendation ceremony, they seized the ship, taking the Imperials, including Doriana, hostage and freeing Romierr. The insurgent leader took them to Darlyn Boda, where he planned on auctioning off the higher-ranking Imperials to underworld figures. The Star Destroyer Corrupter, there on a separate mission to hunt Jedi, stumbled across them after a signal orchestrated by Rothery, Taskien, and Trip. A relief force was sent to retake the ship and they were able to free Doriana and the other prisoners. However, the insurgents had joined up with the fleeing Jedi and their allies, making control over the Griffin tenuous at best. Doriana took a squad of troopers to the auxiliary bridge, where he threatened to activate the self-destruct if the insurgents and Jedi didn't surrender. He was confronted by the leader of the Jedi, Selu Kraen. Doriana tried to tempt Selu into surrendering, but the Jedi instead concealed a lightsaber with the Force and hurled it at Doriana. The advisor died from his wounds, and the Jedi and insurgents escaped with the Griffin.
