While pacoids have not yet replaced ratoids as ubiquitous space vermin, their round happy faces have caused them to be judged the less appealing species. Pacoids are not dangerous in the physical sense but can cause insanity if met too often in too closed an area. Pacoids enjoy playing video games, some can be seen playing games in ScumWorld Arcade in the Galaxy Galleria mall. Pacoids are often frantic players who shout, bank, scream and kick in extasy of playing games.

It's a interesting fact that it was a Pacoid ship attempting to gobble up bonus points in the Labion Terror Beast level out in space, that discovered the disk (containing Vohaul's virus) amongst the debris of an exploded meteorite. The Pacoids scored few points for the find. The Pacoids rushed to Xenon with the discovery. A few Pacoids were loose in the crawl spaces of the Goliath. The first time Roger Wilco encountered one, he thought that it was some kind of Pac-Man from hell. He hoped that the Pac-Man lost track of him. He was careful to escape and avoid the few others he encountered.
