Broondjongen was a crew member of Davy Jones's ship, the Flying Dutchman. Like the rest of the crew, over time he grew to look like a sea creature. In his case, he took on the characteristics of several, and his torso split in half, revealing the remains of a dead sibling inside. His body printing in the game shows this. He wields one pirate sword and is only playable when Extra Toggle is on. When Will Turner became captain of the Dutchman, Broondjongen was reverted back to his human form, although this does not happen in the video game.

- As with the other crew members aboard the Flying Dutchman, Broondjongen slowly took on characteristics of various sea creatures over time. His torso split in half at the shoulder in the manner of a clamshell, revealing a withered figure inside. This being, captured in a death frieze, was similar to a sibling absorbed by a dominant twin in utero, with Broondjongen showing what appeared to be vestigial remnants of a dead sibling.
