Potions of learning are potions that, when drunk, modify the PC's Learning score. Blessed potions increase the attribute by 2 points, uncursed potions — by 1 point, while cursed potions decrease Learning by 1 (possibly more if the PC is cursed (or doomed) himself/herself). If the Learning score was at its attribute potential (or just 1 point below for blessed potions), the potential value will also be increased. Drinking a cursed potion with base Learning of 1 may decrease the potential value.

Desirability
| - All spellcasting types love these, as Learning is the main stat used when determining the amount of spell knowledge received per read of a spellbook. All characters who are not technically spellcasters, but have some spellcasting potential, definitely need this to get higher success rates when reading spellbooks. Finally, every single character benefits from the increased number of skill advances gained when the Learning crosses certain thresholds. So whilst the stat isn't crucial for the likes of Barbarians or Mindcrafters, it can still come in handy.
