The Victoria-class Heavy Cruiser is a mostly defunct ship design that rose and fell from popularity in the space of five years. Originally, it was intended as a line breaker vessel, usually in a squadron and shielded by escort. It would hammer into enemy lines and unleash the massive armament of it's broadside MAC guns, though smaller than conventional MAC guns, they had a higher rate of fire and were more numerous, so in a shorter period of time they could cause significant harm. Though heavily armoured and with stronger than average shields for a ship of that class, it was capable of taking a tremendous amount on punishment while returning even more.

  • The Victoria-class Heavy Cruiser is a mostly defunct ship design that rose and fell from popularity in the space of five years. The ship quickly fell out of favour when HIGHCOM realised the cost of maintaining these vessels, with most usually being repaired after every battle. Fleet tactics changed and the ship quickly fell out of favour, with production ceasing and the few remaining being mothballed. They were mostly reverted to planetary defence ships however, in times of desperation, these vessels can still be seen rushing into the heart of enemy formations. With the advent of the Necros war, the Victoria was quickly rearmed and sent back to the fronts, where its powerful broadsides could cause significant damage to the vulnerable flanks of Necros ships, designed mostly for frontal attack. They were often used as line breakers, flying in under the cover of nuclear and MAC bombardment by other warships and breaking battlelines. The Victoria was notable for having exceptionally powerful shielding and heavy armour for its size, being closer to a battleship in terms of armour plating. Its oversized twin reactors meant it was never short on power, allowing it to fire both broadsides freely. It was relatively slow , given its heavy armament and armour, but was surprisingly manoeuvrable, being capable of presenting its broadside where and when necessary and out manoeuvring smaller ships.
