Henry Lincoln and Mervyn Haisman wrote the Doctor Who stories The Abominable Snowmen and The Web of Fear. They stopped writing for Doctor Who after a disagreement with the BBC over who owned the comic-strip rights to characters and races they created. With Haisman, Lincoln created the character of Brigadier (then Colonel) Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart. Away from Doctor Who, Henry Lincoln is best known for his non-fiction book The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail which provided the inspiration for the popular Dan Brown novel The Da Vinci Code.
