- Zamorak is the God of Chaos. He was one of the main reasons the God Wars began. When he banished the god Zaros from Gielinor, the other gods, even knowing that Zaros was the most powerful god and had a vast army, decided to banish Zamorak aswell for doing such outrageous act against a deity. Soon, the gods started a struggle to conquer the territories that once belonged to Zaros. Meanwhile, Zamorak returned, now fully transformed into a god. Now, the God Wars began at full force.

Zaros' suspected return is a major blow for both Zamorak and his followers, as well as for Saradomin; as some of Zaros' most powerful followers from the Second Age still remain today. His followers were responsible for the burning of the original Wizards' Tower, causing the loss of libraries' research. Zamorak was the second main participant in the God Wars and thus corrupted many parts of the would-be orderly world. As with Zamorak being the main god of chaos does not necessarily make him evil, it's usually his opponents (such as Saradominists) who claim him to be. Several clans have centered their morales and diciplines around Zamorak.
