Due to privatization, outsourcing, and consolidation the number of UCAS law enforcement agencies has been reduced considerably. There are now only fewer than one dozen federal agencies with policing powers in the UCAS. Three agencies (DEA, FBI, IRS) and the Department of Homeland Security are also members of the UCAS Intelligence Community (IC). These agencies have jurisdiction throughout the UCAS, and all maintain a presence in the DeeCee Sprawl.
