Crewman 22 is later seen holding the machete, waiting nervously for Carl's order to open the gate. Preston is annoyed and interfere him, cutting the rope himself. Crewman 22 along with the radio operator, Jack, Carl and Jimmy tried to escape Kong in a lifeboat. Jimmy started to fire against Kong, who became very angry and grabbed the boat and threw it against the rock wall, probably causing the death of a few sailors. The fate of crewman 22 is unclear, whether he died or got injured on the impact.
