Coalpedd was a planet on the outside of the Outer Rim Territories. The surface was very deformed, a result from having more than eighty moons gravitationally pulling on the planet from many directions. Coalpedd was very difficult to land on safely, as there were many moons to avoid, and very little flat land on the planet itself. This was the first planet that Orion Forte picked to take over after deciding to spread his power from Corellia. He picked it for more than one reason: It was very far out from the Core, and therefore the Republic would not notice the attack. Being so difficult to land on, if anyone came to try to fight Orion Forte, the landing process would take long enough that the White Star Pirates could escape before any harm was done to them.
