- The Change was a three-month portion of an X'Ting's life-cycle. Over this time, the gender of the individual changed; the switch was followed by an physiological and emotional time of trauma. During this time in their life, wealthy X'Ting would ease their trauma by using viptiel.
- The Change is first mentioned in The Warlock. It is a process that is seen to affect all Great Elders and some of the Elders when they come to be of a great age. It changes their appearance in some way, which Abraham is mentioned to believed to reflect their true self.
- The Change (替) is one of the fifty-two Clow Cards. It is under The Dark and under the power of the moon, Yue, and Eastern magic.
- It's happened. Right when you read that line, you immediately forgot something. Something? Yes. Maybe it was your birthday. Maybe it was your mother's birthday. Maybe it was your mother's existence. Whatever it was, you've forgotten it. You're never going to get it back. I have placed you into a mindset that what you forgot never existed. I have changed your memory, so that you remember a life without it. I have changed your world, so you are living a life without it. Had I never told you, you'd never have known you had forgotten it. But that's okay, it's just a small change. Isn't it?

After all, how many kids actually get the chance to fly? Now Tobias is about to make a very special choice. A choice that the other Animorphs and Ax know nothing about. And it could mean the difference between being a hawk...and being human...

- The Change is an friends fanfiction. What would have happened if Phoebe and Ross had slept together during The One With The Flashback. How would Phoebe react when she finds out she is pregnant.
