They can be found in all REC installations and starships, constantly keeping a vigil against those that would threaten the company or its employees. Due to CEO Sigarr Halomek's insistence on the best for him and his company, RecSec employs only the best. Many members are former New Republic Special Forces operatives, and most of those that aren't nevertheless come from similar backgrounds. However, no matter where they come from, all RecSec personnel are required to pass an exhaustive and grueling two-week training course designed to weed out weak, uncooperative, or potentially disloyal recruits. Those that manage to pass the course are then trained for the position they'll be filling. To keep RecSec personnel from becoming complacent, guard schedules are rotated every few months. Additionally, all employees must pass a physical and mental examination every five years, which is dependent on their position in the field. To make sure RecSec personnel remain in top form, the company has enacted numerous measures. RecSec employees are among the most well-paid security personnel in the galaxy. This is in part to reflect their skills, but is also a canny move to build strong company loyalty and help stem possible corruption. According to Sigarr's thinking, a well-paid guard is less likely to take a bribe than a poor one. Likewise, RecSec makes a point of hosting numerous events for their employees over the span of a Galactic Standard Year and offering paid vacation time to increase camaraderie among the guards. Employees and their families are also covered with a robust health plan. In short, every effort is made to put together one of the most loyal and well-trained security forces in the galaxy.
