Pour se divertir, il accompagna Irongron afin de regarder l'attaque sur le château d'Edward de Wessex. Linx était irrité par les interruptions d'Irongron, qui lui demandait quand ses armes seraient prêtes, mais finit par lui fournir des armes à feu. Cependant, le Troisième Docteur arriva. Après un bref combat, Linx tenta de s'échapper dans son vaisseau, mais une flèche tirée par Hal l'Archer transperça son aération probique et le tua, peu avant que son vaisseau n'explose, détruisant le château d'Irongron (DW: The Time Warrior). Lorsu'elle rencontra Styre, un autre Sontarien, Sarah Jane Smith crut qu'il s'agissait de la même personne, même si elle avait vu d'elle même son vaisseau exploser. Styre lui dit que les Sontariens étaient des clones, ce qui expliquait qu'elle ait pu rencontrer un Sontarien identique (DW: The Sontaran Experiment).

Linx did eventually supply Irongron with the guns he so desired. After a fist fight with the Doctor, Linx tried to escape the exploding castle, but he died when Hal the Archer shot an arrow in his probic vent, and his ship exploded soon thereafter. (TV: The Time Warrior) After meeting Styre, another member of the Sontaran race, Sarah Jane Smith briefly thought he was the same person, though she herself said that was impossible as she had seen Linx's ship blow up.
