The Tereus-class Escort Destroyer is a modified version of the Baal-class Destroyer, removing the keel MAC gun on the prow and replacing it with a multi array high power Magnetic Array. This is similar to the one found on the Athena and Minerva-class Prowlers. This, in conjunction with a vast suite of counter ECM and stealth detection systems allow it to discover what can potentially be enemy stealth fighters or stealth ships.

| - The Tereus-class Escort Destroyer is a modified version of the Baal-class Destroyer, removing the keel MAC gun on the prow and replacing it with a multi array high power Magnetic Array. This is similar to the one found on the Athena and Minerva-class Prowlers. This, in conjunction with a vast suite of counter ECM and stealth detection systems allow it to discover what can potentially be enemy stealth fighters or stealth ships. It's equipped with a PAVE RAVEN Magnetic Array. This array detects magnetic anomalies caused by ships, through long-range electric and electromagnetic field detection arrays of great sensitivity and uses this to home in on them. The Magnetic Array is incredibly accurate and has a long range of 400,000 kilometres and is highly resistant to jamming methods, detection and interference. On top of that, stealth systems, such as RADAR resistance and optical camouflage, don't effect its capabilities. The Tereus is used for long range sensor capabilities, being capable of detecting starships at exceedingly long ranges, even warships with stealth capabilities. It can pick out a ship, the tonnage and power output, even in dense debris fields or asteroid fields, inside planetary bodies, or even through celestial bodies. This allows it to preform long range threat detection for escort duties or for battlegroup support.
