  • Sir John Paul is the lord of Serpent's Hold during the time of Ultima VII. The Avatar met him at the entrance of Serpent's Hold, where he inspected a vandalized statue of Lord British. The lord recognised the Avatar at once and asked for assistance in the investigation of the crime. He advised to speak with Denton, since he was the most observant knight. Lord John Paul admitted that his job wasn't too hard, since Sir Richter and Sir Horffe helped him with much of the work, keeping the peace in the fortress. Although he was concerned how Sir Richter had changed since joining the Fellowship. He had to add that Sir Horffe didn't seem to trust the Fellowship; he himself didn't know enough about them. The Avatar later returned to him and reported that the investigation had resulted in Sir Pendaran admitting that he'd vandalised the statue. John Paul was impressed with such thorough work and now was looking for a fitting punishment for Sir Pendaran.
