- Vampires, also known as the Children of the Night, are a species of Downworlders. Along with werewolves, vampires are humans infected with a demon disease. However, unlike the former, vampires are considered "undead".
- Vampires are the blood-suckers of legend, though legend often gets much of the story wrong. Instead of enlarged canines, vampires have another set of teeth, all pointed, and retractable. Also, crosses and garlic do little to stop them, and sunlight is little more than a bad sunburn.
- The "Vampires" are enemies of the Gantz game's participants, whom they refer to as "Hunters". They have worked with aliens to attack the hunters during missions, and have also attacked the some of the hunters outside of missions. Kurono's younger brother, Akira Kurono, was one of them. He was killed off after calling him and telling him they were coming after him, and how to fight them. The vampires are a result of numerous nanomachines within the human body, giving them super-human reflexes and strength.
- A Vampire is an Elder, typically of the Next Generation, belonging to one of the various vampire clans. Vampires are known in folklore as blood-drinkers, however this is only true of some vampiric clans. Other vampires draw sustenance from drinking auras, memories, or even feelings such as pain. Vampires are born immortal - resembling young adults despite a physical age often measured in millenia - and are extremely difficult to kill without special weaponry (Clarent and Excalibur are among the few weapons able to easily kill a vampire).
- Vampires can refer to:
* Vampire, an enemy faction that shows up during Halloween Events
* Vampyri, a subgroup of the Council faction
* 5th Column Vampyri, enemies belonging to the 5th Column
* Lt. Blechley, a Council Elite Boss vampyri
* Nosferatu, a Council Archvillain vampyri

- Vampires are a major part of The Dark Tower Series. Father Callahan went around the country killing and being chased by vampires. They are able to carry blood-transmitted diseases like AIDS. The vampires are servants of the Crimson King.
- In The Pumpkin King, they, like everyone else, are driven out of town by the bug army. One of them is put in to some kind trance by Lock, Shock, and Barrel but is restored to normal after it's death. They reward Jack the Bat Boomerang upgrade Dr. Finkelstein asked him to deliver.
- A Vampire is a magical being that is known for biting people on the neck and sucking their blood. They are usually pale and gaunt, with sharp teeth for puncturing the neck. They have an aversion to garlic, and can be kept at bay by its presence.
- At one time, the Vampires were normal people who were infected by a bacteria (later dubbed Vampiris, by Matheson). Unlike Neville, they had no immunity to the virus and subsequently became creatures previously known only in legend as vampires. Ben Cortman is one such vampire.
- Vampires are a form of mystically-resurrected humans, who subsist by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures, regardless of whether they are undead or a living person/being.

- In the Naritaverse, the term 'vampire' does not refer to one, singular race or species. Instead, there are countless varieties of vampires around the world, as reflected in their diverse depictions in varying human mythologies. The one thing that unites all vampires is that they can freely exercise control over their souls. There are around fifty thousand vampires currently living on Earth. - Vampires and vampirism play a minor role in the Yellow Mythos. For example, the vampiress Carmilla may have inspired the name of Camilla, who is occasionally given vampiric traits. Vampires are tangentially mentioned in the non-mythos poem Unmasquerade. Stories and poems specifically featuring vampires or vampirism include:

- Typically, a vampire is sustained by the blood or lifeforce of a human. Their origins as a species are largely unknown. While Lovecraft's work is often focused on the undead, vampires are never featured. Other contributers of the Cthulhu mythos, however, have used these creatures in their stories.
- Vampires are the cousins of the vampaneze. Unable to walk in daylight, they only come out at night. They are some of the most feared creatures in history, having earned a bad reputation from the time when they killed to feed. After the division many years ago, vampires vowed to never again kill for the sake of feeding, unlike their counterparts, the vampaneze.
- Vampires have fangs and feed on blood. They lack a reflection, can change into bats at will, can sort of glide across the ground to move, and suffer from blood lust.
- Vampires are theorized to have been existing among humans for centuries, hiding among the general populace either as beings of high authority or average humans. Their primary attribute is that they must regularly drink human blood to survive.
- Vampires are supernatural creatures who feed on blood. They exhibit greater strength and healing than normal humans, and are immortal.
- True Vampires, like Thuringwethil or Gulavhar were powerful Maia-Spirits, lesser Vampires, as the Morroval and Morvul were just the weaker Maiarindi-offspring of corporeal Maiar and far smaller and not truly immortal.
- A group of animal-eating vampires lived in Farmer Benny's barn. They were thought to be friendly around humans, but apparently they didn't like wizards. A vampire named Malaki killed Benny and attempted to kill Anon, but Anon was able to burn the barn down and kill them.

- Vampires, or Vamps for short, are a race of blood-drinking supernatural creatures that were once human. They have been encountered by the Winchesters, Gordon Walker and other hunters. However it has been stated encountering a vampire is very rare as hunters have hunted them near to extinction although due to their ability to reproduce by transfusion there only needs to be one for them to repopulate. All vampires originate from the Alpha Vampire. Vampires are also one of the most frequently recurring supernatural creatures in the series.
- Vampires are undead humans known for their thirst for blood. They occasionally turn into Bats and can be seen in dank areas such as Drefia, Vengoth and the Ankrahmun Tombs. Vampire societies are divided into noble and commoner ranks. Due to their life-sucking nature, vampires have a degenerating effect on all life surrounding them. This becomes strikingly clear from Marziel's Diary VII (Book). See also Vampire NPCs.
- User with this ability either is or can transform into a Vampire, a being who subsists by feeding on the life essence of living creatures (often in the form of blood), regardless of whether the vampire is undead or a living person/being. While all vampires need some form of life-essence, the quality and quantity vary greatly: from daily to rarely, from needing lethal amounts to barely notable, from sentient blood freshly drained to rare steak. Mentally vampires vary from perfectly normal persons with unusual dietary requirements to predatory, calculating beings, to hunger-driven blood-junkies.
- You can use the box below to create new pages for this mini-wiki. preload=Vampires/preload editintro=Vampires/editintro width=25 Vampires have always fascinated the human race for as long as the stories of the undead feasting off the blood of the living were developed. It used to be that these blood lusting creatures would strike fear into the hearts of even the bravest men and women, however as a result of the writings of Bram Stoker the Vampire has become a creature that is symbolic of eternal beauty, lustful desires, and absolute perfection. The vampiric legends have transformed from something evil of the night to something that every human being desires to... immortality, power, and infallible. The purpose of this wiki (even if it's small) is to endow the knowledge of the vampiric
- After Austria gained control of northern Serbia and Oltenia with the Treaty of Passarowitz in 1718, officials noted the local practice of exhuming bodies and "killing vampires". Reports hereof, prepared between 1725 and 1732, received widespread publicity. Specifically, it was the Serbian word "вампир" ("vampir"), used for Arnold Paole, a purported vampire from the time period when Serbia was incorporated into the Austrian Empire, that made it into the West European languages.
- Vampires live forever, and several depicted vampires are hundreds of years old or more. Their diet is based strictly on blood, and while human blood is preferred, some can survive also by ingesting the blood of other animals (although this is usually less desirable or less nutritious). Sometimes, their behaviour becomes feral and emotionless upon becoming a vampire, while other vampires do show human empathy or even act completely normal and retain their original human personality. This is caused by the existence of different sub-types of vampires, which have different characteristics. Some are known to be completely evil and devoid of humanity, while others only have their humanity drowned out by the urge for blood or a drive towards violence.
- Vampires in the NS universe are not undead, but rather a living species of the night. Vampires can however pass some of their traits onto creatures they have eaten off too frequently. However, a person (or animal) killed in one feeding will not return as one of the undead, and instead will simply be dead.

- The Garou are not the only race on the face of Gaia that the humans mistakenly believe to be merely legends. In the cities, amidst the stifling suppression of Gaia and the Wyld, the Vampires pettily struggle for power. The Vampires are creatures of the Wyrm, and are among the Garou's greatest enemies. They are largely responsible for the unchecked growth of the cities, as they need more human population (and thus more food). A meeting between Vampire and Garou is usually a battle to the death.
- The difference in external diagnostic features between humans and vampires were actually pretty subtle, both because vampires never lasted long enough to diverge greatly from the human baseline, and also because natural selection is going to promote superficial similarity. However, while virtually identical to modern humans in terms of gross physical morphology, vampires were radically divergent from humans on the biochemical, neurological, and soft tissue levels. This limited significant physical changes to soft tissue and microstructures that do not fossilize. This is one of the reasons why it's so difficult to identify these creatures in the fossil record—the other reason being that they sat at the very apex of the food pyramid, which means that they were quite rare even at peak numbers
- Vampires, also known as Longteeth, were undead beings with a number being servants of the great cosmic vampire known as Starbreaker. These individuals served as his disciples and preyed on various sentient beings throughout the universe. They were known to hunt in packs and corner living beings who they considered little more than cattle. Any being that strayed and were discovered by these vampires were felt to be far from their pastures thus they were either transformed into a vampire or fed on as dinner. Those that were turned into vampires considered their sire as their master and were quick to protect them. When killed, the flesh of a vampire quickly disintegrated and left nothing behind but demonic bones. In Space Sector 0650, a member of this race arrived on an isolated farm field wh
- Vampires were, alongside the humans and the Hylden, one of the three sapient races dominant in Nosgoth. Though the original, Ancient Vampires were a species in their own right, the term "vampire" eventually came to refer to any individual afflicted with the blood curse, irrespective of birth. Vampirism comprised an extremely eclectic heritage which spanned many generations and sub-races across history, but with common traits: usually, vampires needed to consume blood regularly to survive, were immortal and sterile, were vulnerable to water and sunlight, developed individual abilities and dark gifts, and would drastically evolve over time.
- Vampires are bloodsucking undead creatures. They usually come out in the hours of Twilight, because sunlight burns their flesh, and causes them to lose their powers. One notable exception is Count von Count.
- Vampires are undead supernatural beings born from humans who have drunk the blood of a vampire usually after being drained of blood themselves. In some cases, a human is turned after they drink a vampire's blood without being drained. Those who have drunk the blood of a vampire without being drained are said to be half vampires or ghouls. The difference between the two is that a half-vampire is a Master Vampire's childe, whereas a ghoul is more of a daytime guardian or family servant.
- Vampires, or Homo Sapiens Mortis, are humans infected with a strange disease that alters their physiology drastically. As a result, they become dependant on the consumption of (usually human) blood, become allergic to the sun, gain considerable physical strength, stop aging and develop a host of additional powers (some of which seem depended on the specific strain of the virus). The vampires in Antwerp have caused minor trouble in the past (see Wrath of the Kindred) but mostly behave in line with their group at large.

- According to Romanian legend, the Strix - a nocturnal blood that feeds on human blood and flesh – created the world’s first Vampire. The bird, rare and thought to be extinct, fed upon the blood of a wounded knight named Vlod Dracul during his stint as a member of the Order of the Dragon in 1245. Nicknamed Vlod the Devil, Dracul soon after began to crave the taste of human flesh and blood, much like the bird, and was renowned in his country for acts of cannibalism and bloody murder. Dracul became addicted to killing, and found that the more blood that he consumed, the younger he remained, adding to the belief that he was immortal. Soon enough immortal life turned lonesome, and Dracul craved the company of another undying soul to share his eternity with. With the help from local witches, Dra
- Those stronger beings in search of riches are usually seen wandering the Grotto or fighting against Werewolves, their eternal adversaries (and by far their most challenging to fight). Players who prefer to come into being as Vampires should understand that there are no benefits in doing so; only the nature of the booty (in this case, blood) and the avatar's default appearance differ from their lycanthropic counterparts.
