| - Martel was a high-ranking member of the Clergy of Nergal who was sent by Tcha Khan to influence Grandmaster Vepar of the Magestar. He managed to convince Vepar to side with the clergy in exchange for a boost to his magic as well as the total annihilation of the Magestar's enemies, which led to the destruction of Graves Hall. Ultimately Martel grew frustrated with Vepar whose sanity was beginning to slip, so he left the master on his own, instead choosing Master Raum as the next potential candidate for the clergy to use. He appeared in public again in Yamato years after the Cataclysm, ostensibly supporting the Sonno-joi movement, and participated in the Battle of Hephaisteion.
- Martel (マーテル Maateru?) is a Summon Spirit who appears in the Aselia timeline games. She is the Summon Spirit of the World Tree, Yggdrasill. In all appearances, Martel typically appears as a green-haired woman.

- Martel was an InGen facility that opened in November 2014 located in Siberia. It was constructed beginning two years before its opening in 2012 and two mines in Argentina that InGen owned were temporarily closed to focus on the project. The facility was believed to have been situated over a group of Woolly Mammoths buried in the native permafrost .The purpose of the facility was to drill into 42 glacial ice locations in search organic remains from the Pleistocene epoch, dating from 40,000 to 200,000 years ago. The excavation was to 18 months and had a rotating team of up to nine scientists in total plus 45 people in the excavation crew.
- The town of Martel is often considered to be a large district of Alkenstar City due to the fact that the two towers that comprise most of the town climb high enough to rise above the top of the Hellfallen Cliffs and connect via skybridges with buildings in Alkenstar proper. Despite this misconception Martel is its own municipality with its own claims to fame. Being at the base of Alken Falls, the town is in a much better strategic position to defend Alkenstar with ground support than its neighbors seven-hundred feet above. Thus, the Grand Duchy's gunmarshals make their headquarters here. Additionally, Martel is the center of banking in Alkenstar, where the financial practices are as advanced as Alkenstar's level of technology in comparison to the rest of the world.
