The PL7521 features an offset double cutaway basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and the Back Stop trem-stopper. The combination of the Edge, Back Stop and Top-Lok III nut was marketed as the Sure Bet Tuning System. The PL7520 is a similar model with a maple fretboard. The PL7521 was discontinued after 1987 along with the rest of the Pro Line series.
