A few months later, at Shipwreck Cove, Barbossa and the young pirate Jack Sparrow exposed Borya's actions to the Brethren Court, and he and his men were all sentenced to hang. They managed to escape with the help of another rogue pirate, Christophe-Julien de Rapièr, and became outlaws in the eyes of the Brethren.
