Samuel Miller (1775-1855) was a United States Marine. He served during the War of 1812 and in the Indian Wars of the 1830s. During the former, he participated in the Battle of Bladensburg, where he acquitted himself bravely, but was injured and captured by the British. In later years, Miller made several unsuccessful bids for the office of Commandant. He died on active duty in 1855, having attained the rank of lieutenant colonel.
