Information
  • I'm from Ga-Metru. Swell place. Since I came into being, I've always been a student in some school, lab, or similar building. You know me, I can't just sit there and be a model student, I've always had to shake things up. That's why I never could graduate and become a teacher. I did well in my studies, got good grades. That's the funny part. I wasn't like, dumb or anything that caused me to not be a good student. I guess I spent too much time fooling around in the chem lab, making weird smells and small explosions. I liked chemistry, especially protodermis chem. It was best my course and I had the second best mark in it at my school. Welp, my life was pretty standard as a Metru Nui Matoran. Got shoved into one of those darned capsules and then carted off to Mata Nui. Had a grand old time with Shasa, the Ga-Koro weaver and Nixie, the Astrologer. Oh, then look who showed up. Takua. Who woulda thunk he was an Av-Matoran? Well, I mean, now that I look back on it, he did look pretty funky with the red and blue, but I thought that was a new fad or something. Anyways. We Mata Nui Matoran lot wound up back in Metru Nui after Makuta lost a kohlii match. We spent our days repairing the city until we learned that there was this magical staff that if you pointed it at something, you fixed it. Makes you wonder why it wasn't used in the first place... Following that, we instead fortified the place. Built walls, weapons, and the like under the instruction of the Order of Mata Nui. They didn't work against Voporak, though. Oh, well. We tried. Then, and I'm sure that everyone remembers this, Teridax revealed his grand plan. Man, oh man, I remember booking it like everyone else to the Archives, our only relatively safe haven. That jerk, Ahkmou, got put in charge. Now that I'm a Toa, I'd really like to give him a good slap across the mask, but back then... I think I still wanted to give him a good slapping. At long, long last, we have our moon crash into a planet. Sounds catastrophic, but it instead reformed Spherus Magna. I'm a bit of a scientist so I find that rather difficult to believe that the collision actually worked, but, hey, don't fix what's not broken. Most chronicles and history books will tell you that most Matoran were evacuated to Spherus Magna and leave it at that. What they don't say is what happens to the few that didn't make it. Listen up, I'll tell you. They died. Take it from me, I experienced it firsthand. So, yeah, I got trapped under a great chuck of rock while my fellow Matoran all clambered out of the Giant Robot without a backward glance. Then someone turned away from the crowd and came back, for me I presumed. I think it was a Ta-Mator- no... Ta-Matoran do not wear a getup that involves a top hat and a cape. He called himself a Great Being. I just rolled my eyes and said to get me out of here. He handed me a tiny rock which I promptly slapped away. Just because my legs were now useless didn't mean I was dead. Yet. What was I going to do with a lame old rock? Ok, ok, so, he told me it was Toa Stone. That changes things. But, really, he should have told me that at the very start. I cupped the tiny Toa Stone between my hands. And nothing happened. it fizzled a bit, yeah, but other than that... nothing. The Great Being swiftly snatched the Toa Stone from me, claiming any further use of it may damage me. In exchange, he gave me another Toa Stone, but this one gave off a white glow. I didn't wonder at its significance and just grabbed it, eager to resume my life. After a few minutes filled with screaming and prolonged "Argh's", I felt cold, cold like I've never felt before, since labs in Ga-Metru were all air-conditioned. White armor? And cyan? 'Congratulations, Toa of Ice. You live,' The Great Being announced. This... wasn't what I bargained for but... it could have been worse. A female Toa of Ice. Huh. That could very well be a first. I jinxed myself. It got worse. 'C'mon, miss, you're coming with me now.' Ok, so, apparently, I owed this midget big time for getting my life saved. If I had known that, I'd have probably just ignored the conniving Great Being. But, as it stands, he's got me over a barrel. He swore no harm would befall me, so I sighed and stopped caring as I was placed into stasis. My story continues in the Madness Series.
