Unlike most PGMs, the PGM900 is based on the Talman series body which was a body shape Ibanez introduced in the 1990s for a more 'classic' guitar line. Paul Gilbert decided he wanted a PGM version of it. Features of the PGM900 include a mahogany body, Ibanez pickups, a standard hard-tail bridge and Paul Gilbert's signature painted F-holes.
