A premier is an executive official of government. In Kirlawa, this referred to the leader of the government coalition in each of the five provinces (Dirguzia, Dirlana, Merkan, Nuchtmark and Uwakah) while the country was united. The Premier acted as the provincial Prime Minister of sorts, and held an important role in devolved affairs in the province. With the break-up of the Free Democratic Union in 2337, the scope of the term has changed. It now applies to the Premiers of the four provinces of the Free Union of Kirlawa - Dirguzia, Dirlana, Merkan and Uwakah.
