Titus was the eldest member of the Sanguine Club, and so the group's de facto leader. He'd been born in the Roman Empire, and was named after the reigning emperor. When Martin informed the group that he'd encountered another vampire, but had been hesitant to speak to him, Titus concluded that this new vampire was not a gentleman. Nonetheless, Titus was firm that Jack should be invited into the Club, even though Jack had admitted to the murders of two prostitutes. When Jack dismissed them as snobs, Titus resolved that Jack's activities be curtailed. When the Club finally caught Jack at the scene of his last murder, Titus agreed with Norton's plan to bury Jack in the foundation of the unfinished Tower Bridge.
