  • Announced at E3 2006, Pit (ピット, Pitto) is a character appearing in Super Smash Bros. Brawl after a sixteen year absence. His old profile portrayed him as having significantly more feathers on his wings, a narrower face, thicker, shorter legs, more tufts of hair, and white rings around his wrist as opposed to the golden ones on the Smash Bros. Dojo image. He uses a bow and arrow as a weapon, as it can also split into 2 small blades. Pit's arrows shoot out beams of light when fired, and the curve of the arrows' trajectory can be controlled by the player, by pressing up or down. The bow itself can be aimed before shooting the arrow, as seen at around 4:18 in this video. This is called Palutena's Arrow. Pit has the ability to jump in midair multiple times, though, according to the DOJO!!, Pit

  • If the user attacks while Pit is walking, Pit jabs both blades of his dismantled bow forward.
  • Pit spins his assembled bow in its fan form, like helicopter blades, but only for about 1/2 a second. This usually launches opponents upward.
  • Pit spins around on one leg. This renders Pit invincible for a very brief period of time.
  • Potentially Pit's heaviest-hitting move. Pit slices in the direction he's aiming at twice: first upward, then downward.
  • Pit can start gliding in mid-air. This is useful for covering great distances. He can also go up or down, and can attack opponents below.
  • Pit spins his bow in front of him like a buzzsaw. Pit can maintain this move indefinitely and it can also reflect projectiles, but he can't move while performing it.
  • Pit spins about three times, then throws the opponent away.
  • One jab of a blade backwards.
  • Pit separates his bow and slices them into the air above three times.
  • If Pit is holding onto the edge of a platform, he can quickly flip onto the stage and kick foes in front of him.
  • Pit summons an army of Centurions to attack all opponents on the stage. The Centurions will rush to their targets and attempt to slam into them, trying to knock them off the screen. The Centurions immediately fall off-screen afterward, regardless of whether they hit players or not.
