The Carolina Aviators are a professional indoor football team set to begin play in the Ultimate Indoor Football League for its 2012 season. The Aviators are based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with home games to be played at the Dorton Arena. Raleigh is the fifth team to play in the newly formed Southern Conference of the UIFL. The Aviators are the third indoor football team to play in Raleigh, after the Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League (2000–2002) and the Raleigh Rebels of the Atlantic (later American) Indoor Football League (2005–2006).
